Social Media

After reading this article I completely agree with Apples decision. An employee should know the rules set by their boss and obey those rules while working there. If the employer makes it clear to you that "commentary on Apple products, or critical remarks about the brand, were strictly prohibited.” Therefore, they had every right to fire that employee. If I was an employee I would be completely understanding with the rules and if I was unable to follow the rules either expect to be fired or find another job. I personally do not use Facebook often and when I do I know that whatever I post is my responsibility and although it may say your post is "private" you are completely at fault since in the world of Internet nothing is only your private information. If I was an employer I would make it clear to my employees that I do not accept any negative comments or slandering of my business and immediate termination would be put in force.

  1. I like how you said anything you post on Facebook is your responsibility. I think people need to realize that more often. People just go on facebook and write or post pictures of whatever they want, not always thinking about the consequences of that behavior.

  2. I completely agree, facebook should be used a little smarter by people. its funny how oblivious people can be about what they tell the world.

  3. I agree. Social media can be a postive thing until it is used for inappropriate things
